7 Things you should be doing more of on social media, as a business!
If you are not seeing social media results, you most likely aren't doing any of these things.
Social Media is a valuable marketing tool for every business. You have an opportunity to reach a massive audience organically. Unfortunately, too many businesses aren't utilizing social media platforms in the right way.
They are juggling between multiple platforms without a clear focus or have no idea on how to make the best use of a particular platform. You can always outsource your social media work but if you want to learn and do it yourself, here are a few things that you should be doing more of, to maximize your results.
Posting on Stories - Many businesses ignore stories and focus solely on the posts that go to their feed. Stories are a powerful medium of interacting and engaging with your audience, building relationships with them. Don't use stories just to reshare your feed posts or those of others. You can run polls, ask questions, show behind the scenes, post client reviews, sneak peeks, drop tips and tutorials, and so much more.
Posting regularly - Rule no. 1 of social media or any other area of life is that you need to be consistent. Posting once in a blue moon will make your audience forget about you. On the other hand, if you post way too often, your audience will be too annoyed. You need the right balance with the right schedule. Aim for posts of 3 to 5 times a week with multiple stories throughout the week.
Engage with others - Social Media is a two-way street. If you want all the likes, comments, and followers, you also need to do the same to others. In fact, follow the rule of giving more than you receive. This will also help you grow your account faster. Does this mean spending more time on social media? Yes, but you don't have to do it right away. Start by spending 5-10 minutes daily engaging with others. You can then gradually increase the amount of time you do this.

Use Facebook Groups - Facebook Groups are mini-communities in themselves and are a great way to market your product or service. Join local groups and groups related to your niche. Be sure to follow rules as too much self-promotion is considered spammy and you'll get blocked.
Use Video Marketing - Video marketing is huge and is exponentially growing. Across all platforms, videos are prioritized and are sure to attract more eyeballs and get more engagement. If you can't seem to do videos by yourself, do outsource and consider help.
Use the right and relevant hashtags - Hashtags are still the best way for your posts to be seen. Use all available hashtags - that are of smaller size and relevant to your niche, and business location. You want to attract the right audience. Avoid using hashtags that are very commonly used and are large in size. Your posts will get lost in this crowd.
Respond to your followers - Respond to your comments, messages, and reviews positively. Ignoring complaints and negative reviews is the last thing you want to be doing on social media as a business. Your potential clients can see this and will avoid doing business with you.
